The star striker put his side up early, but his status is unknown after an injury.
Montreal Impact striker Didier Drogba helped his side capture a point Saturday, but will have everyone around the franchise concerned after he departed the contest with an injury.
Drogba delivered a brilliantly struck finish on a failed clearence in the third minute to put the Impact in front, 1-0, over the Philadelphia Union, before the fans had barely settled into their seats.

However, C.J. Sapong leveled the score in the 24th minute and Union keeper Andre Blake kept things tied, as he made multiple key saves to deny Drogba a second.
In the second half, Drogba appeared to struggle with a leg injury and was finally forced off in the 70th minute, replaced by Johan Venegas.
There was no word on the status of Drogba after the game, which finished 1-1, but Impact head coach Mauro Biello did confirm the injury.
“We can only hope he is OK,” Biello said when asked about Drogba’s injury. “Still, we have a lot of depth and many quality players. We’ll move forward and hope he can play in the next game.”
Drogba, who has scored four times in seven appearances this season, missed four games to begin the year in order to avoid playing on artificial surfaces. The Impact won three and lost one over that span.
Overall, the Impact are currently first in the Eastern Conference, despite being winless in their last five games, with four straight draws.
