Bale to miss Valencia match with knee injury

Gareth Bale will miss Real Madrid’s game against Valencia with a knee injury.

The Welshman picked up the problem in the Champions League semi-final win over Manchester City on Wednesday, in which his deflected cross was the only goal of the game, and tie.
The club released a statement saying: “After tests our player Gareth Bale has been diagnosed with a sprained right knee joint.”
Bale should only be out for four or five days and could return for the final game of the season against Deportivo La Coruna.
Zinedine Zidane’s side host Valencia on Sunday in their bid to top La Liga. They currently sit on 84 points, just one behind Barcelona and Atletico.
They will follow the Deportivo game with the Champions League final on May 28 against their bitter city rivals, and Bale is pivotal to their hopes.
