Southampton moved within touching distance of a place in the Europa League next season with a commanding 4-1 win over Crystal Palace, but Ronald Koeman's men will have to wait for confirmation after Manchester United's clash was called off.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring for the Saints just before halftime, and Graziano Pelle doubled the lead with the club's 15th headed goal of the Premier League season.
Jason Puncheon pulled one back for Palace, but Ryan Bertrand subsequently made the game safe from the penalty spot.
The Saints are now guaranteed at least sixth place, but will have to wait for both United's last clash against Bournemouth and the FA Cup final to find out if they enter Europe in 2016-17.
