Jamie Vardy could move to another Champions League club for £20m, Everton want England's No. 1 Joe Hart, and Jose Mourinho has Chelsea's Nemanja Matic in his sights. It’s the top stories from Tuesday’s papers...
Mourinho wants Matic at Manchester United
Jose Mourinho has moved his home up from London and seems to be intent on bringing Nemanja Matic up to Manchester too, says The Daily Mail. The central midfielder was a pivotal part of Mourinho's title-winning side at Chelsea before things fell apart for the manager at Stamford Bridge, and it would reportedly cost around £25m for United to secure Matic's services. Mourinho also wants to bring Everton's John Stones and Real Madrid's Raphael Varane to Old Trafford as part of a £200m spending spree.
Paper Round’s view: It's going to be a lively summer at Old Trafford, but a reunion for Mourinho and Matic seems unlikely given how the midfielder struggled to maintain his form in the third season under Mourinho. Stones and Varane are much more likely, with neither guaranteed regular football at their clubs. However, neither are the solid style of centre-back that usually appeals to Mourinho. There will be no shortage of names linked to United this summer, but if you want to know which are most likely then a glance at the client list of Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes is as good a place to start as any.
Champions League clubs alerted by Vardy exit clause
Potential suitors for Leicester City star Jamie Vardy have been alerted by a £20 million exit clause in his contract - reports The Daily Mail. England striker Vardy recently stressed that he is keen to stay at the King Power after firing the Foxes to the Premier League title, but the improved contract that he signed in February includes a £20m exit fee for Champions League clubs. Vardy has drawn particular interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham, while Manchester Cityare also said to be interested.

Paper Round's view: If Vardy wants Champions League football then there's little point him leaving Leicester for any of Manchester United, Chelsea or West Ham. And as good as the striker has been, he hardly fits the bill for what Pep Guardiola tends to look for in a player, so that surely rules him out of a move to City. Vardy is 29 years old and it's probably now or never if he wants a glamour move to one of the game's traditional big teams. But at Leicester he's a hero, with a contract that already guarantees he will be a rich man by the time he reaches his early-30s, so it will take more than an affordable exit clause for him to be tempted away from the Midlands.
Everton attempt shock Hart swoop
Everton are looking to pull off an extraordinary transfer coup with a £40m bid for England No. 1 Joe Hart - reports The Sun. Farhad Moshiri has brought spending power to Goodison Park after his takeover, and Manchester City's goalkeeper is top of the new owner's wish-list after disappointing displays by Joel Robles between the sticks this year. New City boss Pep Guardiola is believed to be willing to listen to offers for Hart, while a £200,000-a-week contract could tempt the stopper into a switch.

Paper Round’s view: Hart might not be Guardiola's cup of tea, but if he's up for grabs in the transfer market (which remains highly doubtful) then there will be far bigger clubs than Everton interested in snapping him up. That's not meant as a criticism of the Toffees, but Hart is in the conversation when picking a world top 10 in his position, while Everton certainly aren't in that league right now. More than likely Hart will be lining up for City on the first day of the new campaign.
Spurs move to solve their striker shortage
Tottenham Hotspur have already strengthened their squad by bringing in Sao Paulo forward Jonathan Calleri, according to The Sun. Spurs had just one striker on their books for the 2015-16 season and have moved quickly to address the squad's weakness with a "verbal agreement" for Calleri, which has been revealed by the player's father and agent Guillermo Calleri.
Paper Round’s view: Alarm bells always ring when a story is broken by a player's agent, and this could well be a familiar case of a player's representative using the name of a Premier League club to bring his client's name into the public eye during transfer season. But this is a move that would seem to make sense. Calleri is young, talented, but yet to achieve his full potential - exactly the sort of player that fits the Spurs mould. Mauricio Pochettino needs to strengthen up top for the new season, with at least two new arrivals necessary, so bringing in a rough diamond like Calleri would be a good move.
