Tottenham slipped to third in the league after being thrashed by Newcastle.
Tottenham missed the chance to finish above Arsenal for the first time in 21 years after falling to a 5-1 loss at relegated Newcastle United.
Georginio Wijnaldum opened the scoring, slotting home from inside the penalty area, before Aleksandar Mitrovic doubled the advantage with a fine header, with former Spurs man Andros Townsend instrumental.
Erik Lamela halved the deficit, beating Karl Darlow via the crossbar from a tight angle, and Mitrovic was then shown a red card for a dangerous tackle on Kyle Walker as Spurs stepped up the pressure.
Newcastle soon restored its two-goal advantage via a penalty but replays showed Moussa Sissoko dived to win the spot kick. Rolando Aaron and Daryl Janmaat added late goals for 10-man Newcastle.
