Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told the world that his players are on the verge of "something special" as they take on Sevilla in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
Klopp's men go into the final having fought from behind at both the quarter-final and semi-final stages of the tournament, first against Borussia Dortmund and then against Villarreal.
And the German manager - who only took the club over in October - is certain that his group of players can use those experiences to their advantage.
"Rarely does the team that wins the final have an easy route to the final," he said.
"So I'm happy about the difficult moments we've had in this competition.
"We have found solutions. This team has developed really well.
"When I came here some people doubted these players.
"Now they have the opportunity to achieve something special. Let's try it."
Klopp himself also has his own demons to slay: he has been to five cup finals in his career, but won only one of them.
"I don't feel pressure. I feel opportunity," he said when asked about those losses - one of which came with Liverpool in the League Cup final in February.
“I am not frustrated about my final record.
"The longer you go without winning anything, the harder you try and the more likely you are to succeed. That's what I believe."
He added that he firmly believes that his players will keep their heads in the pressure of the final, suggesting that the entire season so far has been leading up to this moment.
"All we've done since we've been together is to be prepared for a game like tomorrow," he said.
"I am sure these players are ready. I am really pleased for the boys. That I can be part of this moment with this team."
Turning his attention to Spanish opponents Sevilla, Klopp had a joke ready and waiting for the assembled press corps.
"Spain is the best football country in this moment. They play at the highest level," he said.
"Hopefully tomorrow nobody will see it!"

As to who the team will contain, much is up for debate: captain Jordan Henderson said in his own press conference that he doesn't expect to start given that he was injured during the key matches which the Reds came through to make the final.
Belgian striker Divock Origi is also a possibility, with Klopp saying that he'd "done well" in his last two training sessions.
"We will see," said the manager.
