Richard Gasquet swept past Nick Kyrgios in straight sets to reach the fourth round of the French Open.
The ninth seed relied on his trademark backhand to unsettle Kyrgios, who appeared to be suffering from shoulder pains and needed treatment from the trainer in the opening set.
However, despite these apparent injury problems, the Australian managed to force a second-set tie-break.
Kyrgios could not work his way back into the match though and that was as close as he got to the home favourite, who went on to take the third 6-2 as well.
He will now face Fernando Verdasco or Kei Nishikori in the next round.
